WORCESTER, Mass. /Massachusetts Newswire/ — On Friday, March 28, 2014, from 7 to 10 p.m., Worcester Animal Rescue League is hosting their second annual Wagtime Fundraiser. This is an opportunity for the public to get involved in helping improve the lives of animals in a new way.

Worcester Animal Rescue LeagueThe event will be held at Club Maxine’s in Maxwell-Silverman’s on 25 Union Street in Worcester, and the ticket price includes hors d’oeuvres, two drinks, live and silent auctions, dancing, and more. Tickets for the Wagtime event may be purchased online in advance for $50, or for $60 at the door (if the event is not already sold out.)

Wagtime is the largest of the WARL events, and one hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to supporting WARL’s mission of helping animals.

The mission of the Worcester Animal Rescue League is to provide compassion to every being that turns to them for help, providing shelter and care for animals as well as respect and resources for people.

“The costs to care for our animals, including medical, shelter, and training, are always growing. Wagtime brings people together and raises the funds necessary so that we can continue improving the lives of animals,” explains Executive Director of WARL, Allie Tellier. She hopes that the proceeds from this event will give the nonprofit a good boost for the start of the new year.

Worcester Animal Rescue League is one of the largest no-kill, limited intake animal shelters in the region. WARL prides itself on not establishing a time limit for healthy and adoptable animals, and the staff and volunteers work constantly with foster homes, rescue groups, and other shelters nationwide to place animals in the best possible circumstance.
