VENTURA, Calif., Sept. 13, 2012 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — On October 7, Carnevale Ventura will host a day in Renaissance Italy with three fashion shows and a marketplace at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Ventura. Talented beauties from across California have signed on to model selections from forty stunning costumes of traditional Renaissance Italy and exotic Venetian carnevale.

Leading the group are Miss Ventura County Kayla Baily, Miss San Diego County Anna Mason, Miss Los Angeles County Monet Bagneris, Miss Simi Valley Shelby Herzig, Miss Ventura County Outstanding Teen Amanda Ford, and Miss Teen Simi Valley Taylor Thompson. Ventura County will also be represented by twin Princesses Alyssa and Ashley Horton.

In addition, there will be models in period dress and imaginative carnevale attire for family members of all ages. Many costumes have authentic ties to actual Renaissance characters, including the famous Borgia Family, as exhaustively researched and exquisitely sculptured by artist George Stuart. His famous Historical Figures® include more than two dozen three-dimensional portraits of the movers and shakers of the Renaissance and Reformation.

Visitors to a free-admission Marketplace will be able to talk to the charming models as well as the expert designers, who created their fabulous costumes. Vendors will offer clothing, masks, shoes and many other items to complete spectacular costumes.

“Our October 7 Fashion Show and Marketplace will prepare families to dress appropriately for the Renaissance Faire, masquerade balls, costume contests and other festivities of Carnevale Ventura in downtown Ventura on February 8, 9 and 10,” states Angel Jones, Events Director.

The titleholders will participate in all three Fashion Show performances at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 for VIP seating and $15 for General Admission. Ticketing information is available at http://www.carnevaleventura.org/ .

The Carnevale Ventura is produced by the Historical Figures Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to education through the art of George Stuart of Ojai, California.
