NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) — The National Association of Single People (NASP) announced this week its official formation. And, wasting no time, it has launched right into a national membership campaign.
“The NASP was founded on the premise that the well-being and rights of the single person is an area long overdue for representation on a national basis,” says Richard E. Baron, executive director of the Association. “This organization is in direct response to that need.”
Primary purposes of the NASP include: promoting interests that enhance the single community; providing a forum and a national voice to address issues of concern to members; and to represent the interests of singles on a national level by supporting legislation and other issues that advance the interests of the single person.
Additionally, the NASP strives to educate the public about matters related to the single community, while advancing the interests of its members.
The NASP will promote educational seminars and meetings on topics of interest to singles at various locations throughout the U.S. It will also conduct various programs designed to serve its members’ social and economic well-being.
“The Single World,” a publication produced by the NASP, is available exclusively to members only and is designed to ensure that NASP members are the most informed and knowledgeable singles in the nation. The publication will feature information not available elsewhere.
An annual convention will bring singles together from far and wide in one central locale; and NASP social events will provide a venue where singles may socialize and meet in a manner that is efficient and effective.
Membership is open to singles of all ages. For more information or to request a membership application, write the international headquarters of the NASP at: 4570 Campus Drive, Newport Beach, CA, 92660; call: 1-949-252-2111; or visit: www.singlepeopleassociation.org .
